Say Yes to Group B Strep Testing

Say Yes to Group B Strep Testing

Write to your MP and invite them to our Group B Strep Awareness Week drop-in event in Parliament.

To mark Group B Strep Awareness Week this July, Group B Strep Support will be holding a parliamentary drop-in event on Wednesday 15 July from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the House of Commons.

This event is an opportunity for MPs to learn more about group B Strep - the leading cause of severe infection in newborn babies in the UK - and hear why better awareness and access to testing and prevention matter to families across the country.

Every year, babies in the UK develop life-threatening group B Strep infections, including sepsis and meningitis. Earlier awareness, testing and action can help save lives and reduce the devastating impact these infections can have on families.

Please email your MP today and ask them to attend the event and show their support for improving awareness and prevention of group B Strep infection.
